Consultations
Consultation is required for all new patients and existing patients requiring new services.

minute consultation
This is required for the first Botox® or Dysport® injection. Consultation fee is $50 which will be applied towards your first treatment.
60
minute consultation
This is required for full face assessment for injectables, medical grade skin care, pulsed light or laser treatments. Consultation fee is $100 which will be applied towards your subsequent treatment.
SERVICES
BOTOX®, DYSPORT®
Over time repetitive movement of facial muscles creates fine lines and wrinkles on the face. Botox®, Dysport® injections are used to relax muscles and soften the appearance of dynamic lines. Common areas treated include crows feet, forehead lines, the area between the brows and smokers lines around the mouth. More advanced injections can elevate the eyebrows, relax dimpling of the chin and accomplish many other goals. DERMAL FILLER
Facial fillers such as the Galderma’s line and Allergan’s Juvéderm line are safe, natural and long-lasting products that can restore a more youthful facial architecture by reestablishing volume lost as part of the natural aging process. In addition to restoring volume, facial fillers can smooth away wrinkles and unwanted lines. Popular areas of treatment include lip and cheek augmentation, earlobe restoration and even hand rejuvenation. The diverse line of hyaluronic acid fillers lasts one to two years depending on product selection and offers an excellent alternative to surgical facial rejuvenation.
SKINCARE
Dr. Koeze believes that a therapeutic skincare regimen is the foundation of both correcting and maintaining a healthy youthful appearance. Choosing the right skincare regimen can be overwhelming as the aesthetic market is inundated with over the counter cosmetics that make many unsupported claims. Unfortunately, many products aggravate, dry out or contribute to further aging. Most over the counter products go directly from development to consumer without controlled studies confirming efficacy. Many of the “active” ingredients listed are not capable of penetrating the skin’s surface. Essential Aesthetics offers a diverse line of medical grade skincare to address a wide range of corrective goals. An in-person consultation is required for prescription grade therapeutics. Hyperdilute Radiesse®
Hyperdilute Radiesse® is simply Radiesse® that has been thinned out with a mixture of saline solution and Lidocaine. This dilute mixture is injected via a needle or cannula into areas where the skin is showing sagging and looseness. This maximizes Radiesse’s® natural collagen-boosting properties while still delivering immediate results. Hyperdilute Radiesse® helps tighten and firm saggy, crepey skin and restore the skin’s tone and texture to a more youthful appearance.
KYBELLA®
Kybella® is a non-surgical treatment for submental fullness (double chin). Kybella® is the first FDA-approved injectable designed for contouring and reducing fat in the neck. Kybella® is a synthetic preparation of deoxycholic acid, a naturally-forming substance in the body that helps break down and absorb fat. When injected into subcutaneous fat under the chin, Kybella® promotes destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells are unable to store or accumulate fat, leading to a slimmer jawline permanently. Most patients require 3-5 treatments.
Botox®/Dysport® for Hyperhidrosis
Botox® can be injected into the skin to treat symptoms of severe underarm/foot/hand sweating (severe hyperhidrosis). This treatment has been shown to decrease sweating by 82-87% in the underarms. Patients who experience axillary hyperhidrosis that interferes with their daily activities are good candidates for this treatment. Many patients who decide to proceed with Botox® have attempted non-invasive treatment options with prescription-strength antiperspirants and have had no relief of symptoms. Treatment with Botox® inhibits the overactive nerve activity that causes excessive sweating, this treatment normally reduces excessive sweating for 6 months.
Moxi™
Moxi™ is the newest laser technology to hit the market. This year-round treatment comfortably delivers non-ablative laser energy to help revitalize all skin types. Moxi™
corrects the initial signs of sun damage and aging and can be performed in under 30 minutes once a numbing agent is applied. This is the perfect treatment for active

Broad Band Light™
Broad Band Light™ (BBL®) therapy is a step above the average Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy, offering a more effective way of removing unwanted sun damage, flushing, and red broken vessels from the skin’s surface. Sciton® BBL®’s are commonly performed on the face, chest, arms, and legs, and leave the skin with a healthy and even skin tone. Repetitive BBL® treatments have been linked with gene expression reversal, giving the appearance of more youthful skin. Please call the office, direct message, or email the practice. Sculptra®
Sculptra® is an injectable cosmetic filler. Sculptra® is used to restore facial volume lost due to aging or illness. It is a collagen stimulator, not a facial filler. Sculptra® contains poly-L-lactic and acid (PLLA), which is a biocompatible synthetic substance that stimulates collagen production. Sculptra® can be used to treat deep lines, creases, and folds to give you a more youthful appearance. We are able to treat the lateral face, including the temples, cheeks, hollows, and jawline. These are areas where we tend to lose collagen, fat, and bone as we age, leading to jowling and gathering of the skin at the mid face. By replacing this volume loss and collagen structure with Sculptra®, we can rebuild the support of the tissue and lift sagging skin! The Sculptra® process stimulates remodeling of the dermis and a deeper rejuvenation that takes several weeks to months. You gradually begin to look younger. On average, three injection appointments are needed over a period of a few months. The number of injection appointments and the number of injections per appointment vary from person to person, depending on how much collagen has been lost. Initially, you will need 1-3 treatments of Sculptra® over the span of a few months, then yearly. Dramatic results are typically seen within 3-4 months with the stimulation of your own collagen and last up to 2 to 3 years. Sculptra® can also be injected into other areas of the body such as the chest and extremities to address skin laxity and signs of aging. Bruising is possible, plan 2 weeks ahead of any events or vacations. Your first Sculptra® treatment requires a consultation.
Clarius HD3 Ultrasound
We now offer high-definition ultrasound imaging to help with improving patient outcomes with clear, real-time imaging. Clarius HD3 delivers sharp and clear imaging to easily identify anatomy, confidently diagnose pathology, and guide procedures in real-time at the bedside. This can be used to help with targeting filler complications as well.
Filler Removal/Hylenex®
One of the major appeals of the HA fillers is that they are reversible and are temporary. Hyaluronidase, an enzyme found across many species, is the “antidote” used to dissolve the HA fillers. The following conditions are appropriate to use hyaluronidase:
While there are many variations of hyaluronidase available in the US (Hylenex®, Hydrase®, Vitrase®, Amphadase®), the preferred brand at Essential Aesthetics is Hylenex®. The reason to choose Hylenex® is because it is a human recombinant form and is the least likely to have an allergic/anaphylaxis reaction.
Treating filler with Hylenex® is not an exact science. There are huge variations in the amount of Hylenex® required to dissolve a filler. The important factors to consider are:
A typical Hylenex® treatment is less than 5 minutes and very comfortable. The Hylenex® is often mixed with lidocaine to improve comfort and leaves the area numb for about 30 minutes. The HA is dissolved within a few hours (sometimes minutes) but there will be some swelling from the injection that can take a day or two to resolve. If replacement of filler is desired, this can be performed in 3 days. Likewise, if further treatment is required (in a non-emergency situation), repeat injections are done at 3 days or later.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that life can throw the unexpected at us at any time. We do our very best to get all of our patients in for their appointments — especially in the fall and winter during the holiday season.
As a courtesy to our patients, please provide a minimum of 24 hours notice should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
We will begin charging a $100 fee for no-shows or if an appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours in advance for injectables, one hour laser appointments and consultations. The cancellation fee for Aesthetician services is $25. Fee for laser appointments longer than one hour will be $200. This in no way is meant to be punitive! It is simply no-shows and late cancellations are very disruptive to our day and prevents another patient from booking.
PHILOSOPHY
Dr. Koeze believes that all patients can achieve their aesthetic goals if given the appropriate preventative and corrective anti-aging tools. This varies for every patient depending on age, prior sun and other environmental exposure, as well as underlying genetics. At Essential Aesthetics we will tailor the best treatment regimen to meet your specific needs.
ABOUT DR. KOEZE
Dr. Koeze graduated from The University of Virginia School of Medicine having achieved the highest academic award possible, induction into the AOA Honor Society. She then completed a surgical internship followed by residency in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Koeze developed a passion for facial aesthetics over a decade ago combining well-honed procedural skills with an aesthetic eye. She had a robust aesthetic practice in Charlottesville, Virginia prior to moving to the Fredericksburg area.
